Where as if you can pause life, you can just have a little break now and then and have more time to do things.” Obviously enjoy your memories but in thinking about the past too much you’ll find yourself regretting stuff that there’s no point in regretting. Thank you so very much for your words of wisdom, Tammy, with permission I want to pos this on my LinkedIn and Facebook… Let me know if I can.Lily, 16 answered: “I think a pause button… Because i feel like there’s no point in thinking about the past too much. The designers created the bracelet with a positive symbol, (charm) on it, so when it vibrates (it is very private, silent, intervention, during my day) I look at the positive symbol and take a deep breath, clear my mind for a second, and affirm what I am feeling. – reminding me that “I only attract positive people and situations into my life”. I purchased a piece of function jewelry that I wear every day this bracelet vibrates every 90min. Ěbout the positive affirmation… I wish to share how I am getting reinforcement on that front.I do believe that all others in my world are here to either give or to receive a teaching lesson… and I am truly grateful… just a tad resistant… sometimes….I have already begun writing about this recent event that changed my entire world… I will continue… and I am reading about self worth, how and what destroys our worth and our value. Thanks to your words of wisdom, I shall do the exercise once more of “Cutting the cords” to those real or imagined hurtful people and/or events.I did realize, months after the event (opportunity), and although I don’t think we as sentient beings have the capacity or privilege to forgive… I did that anyway … but I have not forgiven myself! ![]() You are absolutely right, when you say “whatever occurred was most likely a growth opportunity for you”, and I did eventually fess-up to that point.I know I am suffering this loss and that I cannot bring the situation back… Logically! But… (However) a better choice of words, I continue to beat myself up… what’s that about? Lack of self-worth?.Have you seen our September 2011 issue with Jane Fonda and Emilio Estevez?įinally, for me anyway…”Letting go” is sinking in! When I dream (and I do almost every night), my “Monkey Brain” starts up with a memory of losing someone I loved, or a negative ending to what was once a wonderful friendship, trying to make sense of an imagined or real hurt, and the dreadful, re-occurring one… “What could I have done differently in that awful situation?” The truth is, there is no time machine that can connect us with days gone by – nor days still ahead of us for that matter … well until Apple invents an app for that! But for now, until we let go of what was, we can’t be open to what is yet to come. Use the affirmation: “I only attract positive people and situations into my life.” Know that all things happening in your life are for your highest good. Write everything you want to say about the situation or to the person you are trying to release, and then burn the letter. Perform some type of a ritual to “cut the cord” of connection to the person or situation. Be grateful for the lesson and the opportunity to grow from it. Understand that everyone in your life is a teacher. “To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover the prisoner was you.” – Lewis B. Forgive yourself and any other parties involved. Try to uncover what lesson you were being taught by the universe. The best thing to do is acknowledge what happened, and understand that whatever occurred was most likely a growth opportunity for you. Here are 5 suggestions on how to set yourself (and others) free: Is there something or someone from your past still lingering in the background of your consciousness? Is there a situation you keep playing over and over in your head, wishing you did or said something different? It might be time to let go. I honestly spent most of the dream determined to make a phone call … but it never connected. And then even if I got the numbers right, the call just simply would not go through. Then I would try again, and the buttons would not register. I would try to type in the phone number, but would inevitably type the wrong one and have to start over. In the dream, I remember various scenes where I stood with my cell phone trying to contact people from my past. I had a dream the other night and wanted to share it because, to me, it serves as a blatant reminder that no matter how hard we try, we can’t move backwards in time. ![]()
